From the planet Cybertron come the Transformers, a race divided into heroic Autobots and evil Decepticons. Crash-landing on Earth, they remain dormant for 4 million years before waking up in the Earth year 1984 AD. The Decepticons, led by the mighty Megatron, see a planet ripe for plunder. But the Autobots under the command of Optimus Prime have sworn to protect the Earth and its inhabitants. The original Transformer toy line, nowadays called Generation One, emerged from several moderately successful Japanese toylines, Diaclone and Microman among others. Transformers turned into something much greater, though, and spawned many successors and hundreds of figures. And it all started with these little robots right here.
