In 1982, Mattel introduced a new line of action figures to the market, a curious mixture between fantasy and science fiction, with a hero clearly stolen from Conan the Barbarian and a villain with a skull for a head. It should never have worked, really, but it became one of the most successful toylines of the 1980s. He-Man and the Masters of the Universe!
