Ok, kids, today we learn why it's unwise to play with acids!
Series: Masters of the Universe Classics
Real Name: Keldor of the House of Miro
Title: Apprentice of Hordak
Year: 2010

Banished from the royal palace, in part due to distrust for the rare blue-skinned Gar race, Prince Keldor became an outcast. He travelled Eternia seeking knowledge and guidance, eventually discovering the ancient Spirit of Hordak. From him, Keldor learned of the dark arts and came to realize that to truly unite Eternia he would need to take command of the planet himself. He gathered an army of fellow outcasts and led them into battle against his brother, Captain Randor. Eventually defeated and near death, Keldor once again turned to Hordak who, in exchange for his own freedom, agreed to save Keldor’s life by merging him with Demo-Man, twisting Keldor into Skeletor – Lord of Destruction!

Review: The pack-in comics of the original Masters of the Universe line teased Skeletor's origin as Keldor, but it wasn't until the 200X cartoon that we finally found out the truth. Keldor, half-brother of Randor, felt that the throne of Eternos should have been his, but due to his Gar heritage (evident by his blue skin), he was overlooked in favor of Randor. Rebelling against his brother, Keldor started the great unrest, which culminated in a battle against his brother. The acid that Keldor tried to use on Randor backfired, ruining his face and nearly costing him his life. Hordak saved him by turning him into Skeletor.

This is the first time that Keldor got a figure of his own and it's basically Skeletor, just with a human head (with long, wavy hair) instead of a skeletal one. Keldor comes with two halves of the purple power sword and the bottle of acid, that cost him his face. A good figure, adhering to the fine standard of the Classics line, and showing a character that has never had a toy before. Good enough for me.
