After wandering though Despondos for several centuries and unable to return to Eternia. Hordak, and his ageless army eventually claimed Etheria as a new throne world. Deposing the local monarchs and ruling the people through fear. A nobleman in Queen Angela’s court, Kyle was one of many brave warriors who took up the arms against the Horde invaders and joined the Great Rebellion. Nicknamed “Bow” due to his natural ability as an archer, each of his arrows possesses different powers and he has a magical heart that beats frantically when She-Ra is in danger. Bow, is secretly in love with Princess Adora, unaware that she and She-Ra are one in the same!
Review: Remember Bow? He was She-Ra's "Special Friend". Say so right there on his profile card. Now, kids, a special friend is someone who... on second thought, let's just look at the figure here, shall we? Like many toy figures back in the 1980s, Bow the cartoon character differs from his toy incarnation in quite a few ways and both versions are represented here, thanks to two different heads. We got the mustache-wearing Bow from the Filmation cartoon, as well as the clean-shaven, Tiara-wearing Bow from the toy line. Your choice which of the two heads you want to use, though the 'stache version is certainly better known.
The figure has the usual range of motion for a Classics figure and comes with a number of accessories. Naturally there is a bow and an arrow (with a heart-shaped arrow head). For leisure time he also comes with a harp. Bow wears a removable chest harness with a cape attached, as well as a quiver full of (non-removable) arrows. It's all one piece, not possible to just remove the quiver or the cape. You can sort of stash the bow on the back of Bow by jamming it in between the cape and that golden cord attached to the quiver, but it looks a bit weird.
Final conclusion: a very nice depiction of Bow as we saw him in the cartoon and the toy version head is a nice bonus. Would have been nicer if the quiver and cape hadn't all been one piece, but that's just about the only complaint I have.
