Series: Masters of the Universe Classics
Real Name: Trydor Esooniux Scope
Title: Evil & Sees Everything
Year: 2009
Originally an inter-dimensional bounty hunter and tracker, Scope was recruited by Skeletor during one of the final battles of the Great Unrest to bolster his weakened forces. As good with a blade as he is crafty. Scope took the name Tri-Klops after an accident left him blind and he was forced to wear a tri-optic visor which granted him expanded tracking abilities including Gammavision, the ability to see around objects, Distavision, a form of Far Vision, Night Vision, and the ability to generate optic blasts. Tri-Klops uses his three different eyes to spy for Skeletor!
Review: The original Tri-Klops came out in 1983 as part of the second wave of Masters of the Universe toys and has remained one of Skeletor's primary henchmen ever since. The Classics figure faithfully recreates the original toy, including the rotating headband with his three different eyes. The headband is removable here, showing Tri-Klop's real eyes, which are hardwired into the headband.
The figure comes with multiple accessories, including the sword that the original figure came with and three small throwing daggers, all of which can be stored on the back of his removable chest armor. Tri-Klops also comes with the Doom Seeker, the flying drone he used in the 200X cartoon to spy on the Masters and He-Man. One final accessory is the weird glow-in-the-dark ring that the original figure also had, which can open up to reveal a secret compartment. I was never really sure what that was about, to be honest.
Overall it's a great representation of this classic MotU bad guy. Recommended to all Tri-Klops fans.
