War is a dirty business... and I'm as dirty as they come!
Likes to pass the time 'demolishing Decepticons'. Not happy if not fighting, bores easily, quietest of the Autobots when not in battle. Charismatic in combat, inspiring to fellow warriors. Natural leader. Can traverse most terrains as 4-WD, 600 mile range. Carries turret-mounted linear blaster gun, can blow a hole in 2-foot thick concrete. As a robot has laser rifle and shrapnel-missile launcher.

Robot Mode: Roadbuster makes for an extremely cool looking robot. There is no denying that he is a fighter, even without the many weapons he carries. His military colouring and grim look give it all way. Roadbuster is not very posable, his arms move at the shoulders and that's it, but most early G1 toys were the same. He carries a rocket launcher on his shoulder, a rifle in his hands, and a big rucksack with handles on the side. All in all Roadbuster is great in the looks deparment, but could be a bit better in terms of posability.

Alternate Modes: Roadbuster's vehicle form is a 4-WD military vehicle, kinda like a jeep but a lot bigger. Normally he'd have a gun on the back of the vehicle, but sadly I'm missing that one. The vehicle is great-looking, even though the driver's seat seems a bit small in comparison to the rest of the car. All in all, a pretty good vehicle mode.

Missing Parts: Like many of the early G1 figures Roadbuster had more than his share of parts to lose. I have most of those, thankfully, but I'm missing the gun he'd use in vehicle mode, as well as the antenna that goes onto his rucksack.

Remarks: Roadbuster was one of a handful of early Transformers that weren't distributed by Hasbro, but rather by other companies under license agreements, Bandai in this case. He never appeared in the TV series, but did feature in the comics as part of the Autobots' elite commando unit known as the Wreckers. He bought the farm battling Galvatron in the finale of the Time Wars arc.

I had Roadbuster as a kid and now I finally got him back again. It's not easy to find this figure and finding it with most (if not all) its many extra parts is even harder. My Roadbuster has been through the wars, but that just fits his character. A great figure with lots of nostalgia bonus.
