Patience is the companion of wisdom.
Razorclaw was once a professor at the Tyrest University, one of the primary institutions of knowledge and science on Cybertron. He was renowned for his patience, calm demeanor, and unconventional thinking. Tyrest University was eventually destroyed and Razorclaw retreated into the Manganese Mountains with two of his students, Divebomb and Rampage. There they hid from the Autobot forces while honing their hunting skills. In time, tales were told about hunters, known as Predacons, who haunted the mountains. Despite having adopted violence, he remains patient with those who seek knowledge from him.
Robot Mode: Razorclaw is a repaint of Snarl from the Classics Minicon Predator Attack Team, but since I don't own that one, you get the full review here. At least as full a review as a Minicon can get. Razorclaw is a very posable little Minicon, no doubt about it. Detailing could be better, but it's okay for a toy this size. Having the halves of his beast mode head as hands doesn't work as well for him as it does for other Beast-Transformers, but it looks okay. Still, the robot mode isn't the best of Razorclaw's modes. He looks much better in beast mode.
Alternate Mode: The original mold of this figure was meant to represent a wolf in beast mode. Razorclaw has been coloured to look more like a lion or other big cat. I'll call it a halfway success. It doesn't look quite like a lion, but it no longer quite looks like a wolf, either. The beast (whatever it is) is pretty posable, almost more so than the robot, and looks pretty good. So thumbs up for a decent, if somewhat hybrid beast mode.
Remarks: The Shattered Glass comic book showed Razorclaw, along with his student Rampage, quietly take out Autobot guards around the Ark's launching pad before getting into a teeth-and-claw fight with Grimlock. An impressive showing, but still just a short cameo. As a figure Razorclaw is a good Minicon, but nothing more than that. I'm not a big fan of Minicons and I probably wouldn't have gotten him on his own, but as part of the Botcon set he's pretty good.
