Snarl is seldom seen until the instant he attacks. His camouflage coloring allows him to sneak into Predacon base-camps undetected. Powerful legs give him the ability to lunge forward to attack startled enemies, and in robot mode he can jump straight up to escape incoming missile fire. Snarl is a fearless fighter whose gnashing, serrated teeth and razor-sharp claws are enough to fend off would-be attackers. if they know what's good for them!

Robot Mode: Like many basic Beast Wars toys, Snarl is a shellformer. He carries his animal shell on his back. The robot emergin from within the shell is very posable thanks to balljoints and has an unusual feature in that the beast head becomes his feet. The jaw on his chest also makes for a dangerous look and his nice detailing and cool weapon round out a very decent robot mode.

Alternate Mode: Snarl becomes a Tasmanian Devil. I can't really say much about the realism, as I've never seen a Tasmanian Devil before (and I don't think Looney Tunes' Taz counts). The animal is also pretty posable, so no complaints here. All in all an average beast mode.

Remarks: Okay, my one major gripe with this figure is the name: G1's Dinobot would probably spin in his metal grave if he knew that his name was inherited by this little guy. Apart from that, though, there are few things to complain about. Snarl is nothing special, an average Beast Wars toy, but considering the high standard of the Beast Wars series that makes him a very decent figure.
