Emerging from an explosion caused by Megatron's dangerous cloning experiments, Cheetor is experiencing some unusual growing pains. The lines between beast and robot have blurred, creating a new Cheetor even faster and more ferocious than ever before. But he must learn to control his new capabilities-instead of being controlled by them. Outfitted with a new high-powered missile launcher and leap-thruster, the new ultra strong and somewhat unpredictable Cheetor strikes fear into the circuits of all Predacons that he encounters.

Robot Mode: While TM2 Cheetor does have some cool-looking elements in robot mode, the problems outweigh them. His posability is restricted by the misshapen arms, his legs aren't that mobile, either. The detailing isn't bad, but not particularly good, either. His only weapon is the rocket on his back, but he can't really put it into position. The tail detaches, but he can't hold it as a weapon. All in all TM2 Cheetor is average at best in robot mode.

Beast Mode: More of the same, really. Cool looks, but little more than that. At least in this mode he can actually fire his rocket straight forward, but that is pretty much the only improvement. The cat looks misshapen as well, the oversized upper torso dwarfing the rear end. All in all a beast mode that is somewhat better than the robot mode, but only somewhat.

Remarks: After the brilliant Transmetal Cheetor, the final Beast Wars version of Cheetor disappoints. Granted, it was a tough act to follow, but TM2 Cheetor is a figure that tries to look cool and scary, but has too many problems to actually pull it off. I got him as a bonus when buying another figure, otherwise I wouldn't have bothered. Recommended to Beast Wars completists only.
