Logic is the ultimate weapon.
Prowl is a clear thinker who is able to see beyond the chaos of battle and discover the rational route to victory. His logic center is the most sophisticated in the Autobot army, capable of analyzing complex combat situations and making strategic decisions almost instantaneously. Only drawback: Unexpected events have been known to scramble his circuits. Launches powerful wire-guided missiles and high-corrosive acid pellets.

Robot Mode: Like many early G1 characters Prowl's robot mode is highly detailed and cool-looking, yet rather immobile and somewhat stocky. His legs don't move at all, his arms move at the shoulders, elbows, and wrists (which is better than many others actually). He has a lot of resemblance in regard to his cartoon incarnation (though I believe cartoon Prowl didn't have missiles flanking his head). He is partially metal, which makes him sturdier than many of the later G1 Transformers. All in all, a good robot mode, though more for looking at than actually playing with.

Alternate Mode: Prowl transforms into a police car and does it well. Just looking at the car, you'd be hard-pressed to guess that it can transform back into a robot. Being mostly metal, it might just as well be some kind of miniature model instead of a toy. With real rubber tires, doors that open up, and room for one small driver figure (a leftover from the Diaclone days) Prowl makes one great car.

Remarks: One of the more important G1 cartoon and comic characters, Prowl was second-in-command and chief strategist to Optimus Prime. That, if nothing else, is a reason to get this toy. Made from the same mould as many other early G1 Autobots (Smokescreen, Jazz, Bluestreak) Prowl is a quality toy and should be part of every Transformer collection.
