Wingblade is the best there is at what he does, and what he does is hunt Decepticons. The only Autobot with more confirmed deactivations to his credit is Ironhide, and that's only because Ironhide has been around longer. He trains constantly in robot and vehicle mode, and maintains a database of vehicle scans so that he can rapidly train up in new modes. Where other combat-hardened Autobots are scratched and dented, Wingblade keeps himself meticulously clean. He and his weapons are always clean, sharp, and dangerous.

Review by LimeWire:

Prelude: Just like Jetstorm, Wingblade is a repaint of a Cybertron character, in this case Wingsaber, who could unite into a bigger robot with Cybertron Optimus Prime. Wingblade is the Autobot equivalent of Jetstorm, meaning that he's his faction's sole representative of the Ultra-class in the Movie line.

Vehicle Mode: Wingblade is one of very few Autobots with flying ability. In my collection there are but two other flying Autobots: Protoform Optimus Prime and Evac! Wingblade is supposed to resemble an A-10 Warthog, which he manages... mostly. Only the cockpit and the double gatling-gun underneath it don't quite fit the picture. Also, the vehicle mode is carrying quite the belly. The undercarriage of the jet is somewhat badly packaged. Using the cyberkey you can activate a sort-of battle mode - but I'm at a loss to say which weapon is actually being put in use here. Anyone who can tell me should please do so, thanks!

Robot Mode: Unlike his alternate mode, Wingblade's robot mode is making a damn fine impression. It just feels big, bristling with power and weaponry. The elevators on his wings become blades (Wingblades - yeah, am I smart or what? I figured it out!). The wing-mounted machine guns can be fastened to his forearms and his fingers are machine guns themselves. Finally you can activate that big ray gun from the flight mode here as well, making for one big machine in arms! Wicked! One little flaw here, though: The fingers I just mentioned look more like little chopsticks than actual hands, though. Sad, but the only flaw on this front.

More flaws are found in the engineering area, though. The breast plate is pretty loose, parts are wobbly all over, and his standing ability isn't anything to write home about, either. This does drag down the initinal good impression quite a bit. Still, as an opponent for StarscreamBlackout or Jetstorm he's top notch!
