Booster X10 is a mean-spirited trickster with a talent for toying with people. Sophisticated hypersonics allow him to distort any audio signal, even simple speech. His favorite trick is to wait in his victim's pocket and alter incoming sounds to cause accidents and arguments. He loves seeing how much trouble he can cause just by changing the sound of a word here, or making a racing ambulance sound like a barking dog.
Beast Mode: Laserbeak... eh, I mean Booster X10... hasn't got a robot mode, but rather transforms into a robotic eagle (or condor, falcon, take your pick). The bird is very well done, a nicely sculpted head, fully posable feet, wings that can fold and unfold, as well as a detachable gun on top. Absolutely no complaints about this mode, Laserbeak... I mean Booster X10 looks great.
Alternate Mode: Seeing as cassettes are a thing of the past, Laserb... Booster X10 transforms into an MP3 Player complete with ear piece. Not really that much you can do with it here, it's certainly not a working MP3 Player, but it looks the part, so no complaints here, either.
Remarks: My one big complaint about this otherwise brilliant Real Gear robot: If it looks like Laserbeak, flies like Laserbeak, and flaps its wings like Laserbeak, why not call it... uh, for example... Laserbeak? Anyway, Booster X10, apart from the odd name, is in my opinion the best of the Real Gear line so far and well worth getting. Go out and buy it already!
